Manufactured by Douane, Liege, Belgium - Standard 6-shot, double/single action, gate loading revolver. Octagonal barrel. Blued finish with checkered walnut grips. Conventional - not the "gas seal" model used by Russians. Lanyard loop on butt.

Markings:
Frame: DOUANE/BELGE/1145. BREVET/NAGANT. (Right): Unusual Belgian proof EGB/Star in oval not the usual ELG. Serial number 1145 appears at several locations on weapon.
