U.S. MACHINE GUN BROWNING M37E1 TANK 7.62MM SN# 284622
Manufactured by Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Il. - The M37E1 MG is an automatic, recoil-operated, link-belt fed, air-cooled weapon designed for fixed or flexible use. Designed as interim weapon pending completion of M73. Weapon modified at Springfield Armory. Weapon is complete and in good condition.

Markings:
Receiver: SA284622 M37E1. CAL.30 MG.

Weapon transferred to the Museum on 6 June 1961. At that time weapon was appraised at $5000.00.
