Manufactured by Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Ma. - Standard Iver Johnson Safety Hammer 5-shot revolver. Hinged frame. Top-break. Simultaneous ejector. Nickel plated. Checkered hard rubber grips. Round butt. Cartridge: .38 S&W.

Barrel: IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS FITCHBURG, MASS. U.S.A./PAT'D APR. 6, 85. FEB 15 87 MAY 10. 87. DEC. 26, 93 PAT'S PENDING.
Butt: 54442.
Weapon transferred to the Museum from the Raritan Arsenal, Metuchen, N.J. on 16 March 1951.
Notes: "The Springfield Armory Museum has in its collection one Iver Johnson that was probably one of these surplus arms from WWII. It is serial number 54421, a .38 caliber Model 1900 that was received from Raritan Arsenal on March 16, 1951. It has no military marks. According to production tables in Gorforth, this serial numbered revolver was produced in approximately 1905." - Charles Pate
