U.S. SABER MODEL 1905/06 EXPERIMENTAL SN# 1
Manufactured by Springfield Armory, Springfield, Ma. in 1906 - Model 1905/06 experimental saber with clipped point designed for dismounted officers and enlisted men. Bright blade with blued steel guard and pommel. Sharkskin grip wound with four strand wire, made of two plain wires and two twisted wires.
Markings:
Ricasso: SA/Ordnance bomb/1906.
Reverse: 1.
