Object Description:
CZECH PISTOL VZ27 (P27(t)) 7.65MM SN# 149182
Manufactured by Bohmische Waffenfabrik, Strakonice, Czechoslovakia - Czech VZ27 semi-automatic pistol that has been deactivated. Exposed hammer with shielding on both sides, blue finish, checkered black plastic grips, and 8-round feed mechanism. Weapon weighs approximately 25 oz. unloaded. Slide and 8-round magazine welded to frame. Weapon made under German occupation in WWII.

Frame: 149182. WaA76. 182 with the weld obscuring 149.
Slide: BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G., 149182. Left side: PISTOLE MODELL 27. KAL 7.65.
Barrel: German acceptance stamps (76).
Magazine: P.MOD.27.
Weapon transferred to the Museum from the 4th MP Department, Ft. Myer, Va. on 9 May 1961.
Notes: The German Military acceptance mark, Waffenamt 76, identifies the Ceska Zbrojovka Factory located in Strakonice. The offices for Ceska Zbrojovka were in Prague.
