Object Description:
GERMAN PISTOL DREYSE MODEL 1907 7.65MM SN# 20774
Manufactured by Rheinische Metallwaaren-und Maschinenfabrik, Sommerda - Standard M1907 Dreyse semi-automatic pistol. Blowback-operated, striker-fired. Blued finish with checkered plastic grips. Fixed blade front, fixed V-notch rear sight. 4-groove rifling, right hand twist. 7-round detachable box feed mechanism. Weapon weighs approximately 25 oz. Complete with 7-round detachable box magazine and in very good condition.

Frame: DREYSE/RHEINISCHE METALLWAAREN & MASCHINENFABRIK/ABT SOMMERDA.
Breechblock: 20774.
Grips: RMF.
Crown/N commercial proof in various places.
Weapon transferred to the Springfield Armory Museum from the Aberdeen Museum on 30 March 1960.
Notes: Used as substitute standard by German Army during World War I.
