Object Description:

SPANISH PISTOL ASTRA MODEL 600/43 (P(ASTRA)600/43) 9MM SN# 12157
Manufactured by Unceta y Cia, Guernica, Spain - Spanish semi-auto pistol with 8-round box feed mechanism. Blue finish with two-piece checkered wood grips. Issued to Parguq de Artilleria Armory in Burgos, Spain. Later sold to West German police. Complete with 8-round detachable box magazine. Missing barrel, recoil spring, nosecap and locking sleeve.

Markings:
Frame: 12157, Spanish proofs.
Slide: 12157. Spanish proofs, UNCETA Y COMPANIA S.A./GUERNICA, ESPANA. Astra trade mark. Magazine: Astra trade mark.

Weapon transferred to the Museum on 4 February 1965. At that time weapon was appraised at $47.90.
