BELGIAN PISTOL MODEL 1910 BERGMANN-BAYARD 9MM SN# 15686
Manufactured by Anciens Etablissements Pieper, Liege, Belgium - Improved version of earlier Bergmann designs with a more powerful cartridge and a positive breech locking system. Blued finish with two piece checkered wood grips. Detachable box magazine with capacity of 6, 8, or 10 rounds. Weapon complete with 6-round detachable box magazine. These weapons were sold on contract to several armies, however, this piece appears to be a civilian model as it has no military markings.

Exhibit label: "BERGMANN-BAYARD 9 millimeter - First patented by Theodore Bergmann in 1903, it was officially adopted as a Danish side-arm in 1905. The Bergmann-Bayard was manufactured by Anciens Etablissements Pieper at Herstal, Belgium."
