BELGIAN PISTOL FN MODEL 1910 7.65MM SN# 81206
Manufactured by Fabrique Nationale, Liege, Belgium - Standard FN M1910 semi-automatic pistol with fixed sights, blue finish, molded plastic grips, grip safety and 7-round feed mechanism. 6-groove rifling, right hand twist. Muzzle velocity 925 fps. Weapon weighs approximately 20.5 oz. No magazine. AKA: "New Model."

Notes: "This is a considerable change from its predecessors; instead of a slab-sided slide with the return spring under the barrel, the 1910-pattern return spring is retained around the barrel by a bayonet-joint collar at the muzzle, locking into the near-tubular slide.
It was produced in 7.65mm Auto and 9mm Short chamberings, had an 87mm barrel and a seven-round magazine, was striker fired and the Triple Safety features. It was widely adopted by police forces and enjoyed a considerable commercial sales worldwide." - Hogg & Weeks

"The principal difference between this model and its predecessors is that the recoil spring on the Model 1910 is wrapped around the barrel. This gives the slide a more graceful tubular appearance instead of the old slab-sided lock....This model was adopted by police forces around the world.
