U.S. RIFLE M14E2 7.62MM SN# 1218838
Manufactured by Winchester, New Haven, Ct. - M14 rifle on experimental stock with in-line butt and front folding handgrip. Weapon was unsuccessful attempt to control fire in full-automatic mode. Endurance gun - fired 6,000 rounds. Locking bolt broken during endurance test. Test took place in October 2, 1964. Weapon adopted on 29 October 1963.
